Cancellation, payment complaints, and statutory consumer rights for Hey Beaver.
Scope
This policy applies to consumers, sole traders with consumer-like rights, and business customers. Mandatory consumer rights prevail over any less favourable terms.
Subscription cancellation
A customer may cancel a subscription in the account panel or by contacting [email protected]. Cancellation stops renewal for the next billing period. Paid features usually remain active until the end of the paid period unless a valid withdrawal or mandatory law requires another result.
When fees for a started period are refunded
- where required by law
- where the customer validly withdraws and is entitled to a refund
- where payment was charged twice
- where the charge was an obvious technical error
- where the service provider individually approves a refund
Right of withdrawal
A consumer may withdraw from a distance contract within 14 days without giving a reason unless a statutory exception applies. The statement should be sent to [email protected] or through a function made available in the service. Sending the statement before the deadline is enough to meet the deadline.
Starting performance before 14 days
If a consumer wants to use paid features immediately after purchase, they may be asked to expressly request performance before the withdrawal period expires. After such request, the consumer may be required to pay for services provided until withdrawal, proportionally to the scope already provided.
Refunds
If a consumer validly withdraws, we refund received payments without undue delay and no later than 14 days after receiving the withdrawal statement. Refunds use the same payment method unless the consumer expressly agrees to another method.
Payment complaints and non-conformity
Payment complaints may be submitted to [email protected]. The request should include account details, payment date, amount, and problem description. A consumer may also complain about non-conformity of a digital service or digital content with the agreement. We respond within 14 days unless law requires another period.
Electronic withdrawal and model form
From 19 June 2026, if applicable to the service, we will provide an electronic withdrawal function in the same interface in which the contract was concluded.
